Veterinary Surgeon B.V.N.S, MRCVSI qualified from Glasgow University in 1981 and soon after moved to the South of England. I worked on the south coast until 1991, at which point I came to Essex to work in the Food Industry. I returned to my first passion, which is clinical work in 2006. I have a keen interest in the Honeybee and manage over 20 hives during the summer months. I share our home with Rooster the Labrador, Claude the Cat and a motley gang of chickens.
Training Veterinary NurseI am a student veterinary nurse working towards my qualifications and have been part of the Spinnakers team since August 2015. I have always had pets including hamsters, guinea pigs, a springer spaniel and german shepherds. I love seeing all the different animals that visit us at Spinnakers.
Clinical Director, Veterinary Surgeon BVSc MRCVSAndrea graduated University of Liverpool July 2000 and started working at Riverside Veterinary Group in 2014. She owns two elderly cats Solomon and Murphy and a Labrador cross collie called Frodo. Andrea's special interests are anaesthesia and analgesia.
Head Nurse, Registered Veterinary Nurse, Clinical CoachDonna first started at Riverside in 1998 after 10 years working in the city. Donna became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Donna has had many posts in the group, including head nurse, senior nurse, theatre nurse and clinical coach. Donna enjoys all aspects of nursing, although her main interest is in guinea pigs. Donna is currently working towards a certificate in rodentology which she is hoping to obtain by summer 2015. Donna has a small menagerie at home of mainly rescue animals including four cats, two tortoises, an African pygmy hedgehog and umpteen guinea pigs (as you can never have enough piggies!).
Registered Veterinary NurseJanice joined Riverside in 2010 and came over to Spinnakers in 2012. Janice qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in March 2015. Janice enjoys Nursing and medical management of all our patients. At home Janice has three dogs, a hamster and tropical fish.
