To enable us to be there for you when your pet needs us out of hours please call your practice and your emergency will either be dealt with by your practice team, or between the hours of 8pm and 8am you will be asked to contact our dedicated night service, PetAid.
Riverside Veterinary Group and Associated Practices is working in partnership with PetAid Emergency to provide out of hours care for your pet and telephone advice when your practice is closed.
Works throughout the night and trained staff deliver a quality, thorough and caring service. They will look after your pet while your practice is closed, transferring you back to the care of your practice during opening hours.

Can I just ask for advice?
Yes. Staff are available on-site throughout the night and are happy to give telephone advice if you are concerned about your pet. They can help you decide whether your pet needs emergency treatment and, if you would like your pet seen, they will be happy to see you. It is recommended that you take your pet to the hospital if emergency veterinary treatment is required. This ensures timely access to the correct drugs and equipment needed for treatment.
How do I pay for the service?
Payment must be made at the time of treatment. Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted. If your pet is insured, you will be expected to pay at the time of consultation and we will assist you in making your insurance claim.
Where is PetAid Emergency?
PetAid Emergency is located in Basildon at the PDSA PetAid hospital, The Coco Markus Centre, High Road Vange, SS16 4TG
